xtreme (Grades 6-12)
xtreme is the discipleship environment for 6th through 12th grade students. xtreme meets during the second adult worship service at 10:30am
Each hour of xtreme is broken down into four parts:
- Hang Time - Before xtreme begins, students and leaders hang out while listening to music, playing games, or just catching up on what’s been going on.
- Connect Time - The first 15-20 minutes of xtreme is spent in the adult worship service. The service incorporates music, drama, and video to engage everyone who attends.
- Teaching Time - Teaching Time is not your typical sermon! During this time, a speaker will give an “intro” to what the students will be discussing in small groups.
- Discussion Time - This is the “meat” of what we desire to accomplish with xtreme. Middle- and high-school students meet in small groups divided by grade and gender to discuss current issues or hot topics in their lives. The groups are led by leaders who invest in the students’ lives and encourage discussion.
We accomplish our goal of leading students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by creating environments where they can…
- Prioritize their relationship with Christ
- Influence their friends
- Experience personal ministry
